Highclere Hotel, Ascot (Berkshire)

I stayed at this hotel and found it to be incredibly charming. The rooms were spotlessly clean, but had a very stark vibe, reminiscent of the old commercial traveler hotels from years past. The service was excellent, especially with the staff being lovely and very accommodating to our 5-year-old. The location was ideal for my needs and very close to various restaurants. The dining experience was good value for the price we paid, with a pleasant surprise of scrambled eggs. Overall, a well-situated place with friendly service and a simple but adequate dining option.

Our stay was quite standard although we found some leftover beers from previous guests in the room, which was a bit small for our needs in Lapland. The service really stood out with their efforts to make us feel welcome, offer assistance, and even provide me with a tie for the races at Ascot. The location was ideal for our trip, close to eating facilities and run by an amazing team just outside Ascot. The dining was good but slightly overpriced with limited hot food choices. The facilities were sufficient, but the bar area lacked seating options and did not feel like a true bar.
